The University of Europe for Applied Sciences is a private, state-recognised university of applied sciences formed in 2017 from the merger of BiTS and the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule. One of the few system-accredited private universities in Germany, it offers programmes in art & design, business & sport, health & psychology and tech & software, hosting roughly 7,800 students from over 140 nationalities in English and German.
